Democracy and globalization

The end of the Cold War and the fall of the Soviet Union result in worldwide political, economic, and societal transformations. Globalization accelerates as democracy spreads throughout the world, stimulating economic growth and resulting in the continued expansion of international commerce. Due to multinational mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, expatriate executives are in high demand. Brazil has the world’s third-largest expatriate population, accounting for 14% of all expatriates, behind India (with 25%) and China (with 27%). Increased internet access and email use play essential roles in people’s everyday lives. Furthermore, as the ECO 92 Conference raises awareness of the significance of sustainable growth in order to protect our planet, environmental agreements become increasingly important.
