Brazil-US Cultural Policy
Under the Good Neighbor Policy, the Office for Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs (OCIAA) aims to advance cooperation between Brazil and the United States in the arts, science, education, audiovisual media (film), and journalism (press and radio) by organizing cultural exchanges between the two countries. Composer Aaron Copland, musicologist and folklorist Charles Seeger, musicologist and librarian Carleton Sprague Smith, composer Camargo Guarnieri, and musicologist and folklorist Luiz Heitor Corrêa de Azevedo are among the music professionals who participate in these exchanges.
