American Joseph Troxell comes to Brazil to teach English at the Technical Center for Aeronautics, later known as the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology. He is later appointed superintendent of Escola Graduada de São Paulo and quickly transforms the school into a more established and structured institution, considerably increasing the number of students, faculty, and staff.
